It just occurred to me that I have not mentioned it here, but the focus of my list has always been the stories from marginalized voices where the characters are just living their lives. Pain is part of our stories, but I want to give space to the joyful stories. Send to me #mswl

Spoke to an editor this morning and reminded myself how much I want a historical in MG, YA, or Adult about a gun-toting, foul mouthed, self-sufficient woman like Ruby from Cold Mountain. Any country or continent or sexuality or skin color. I’m tired of petticoats. #MSWL

#MSWL I’m especially interested in books by marginalized authors that don’t necessarily center the trauma of oppression.

3. I want to hear from marginalized authors who have a story to tell that isn't just considered an "issue book". Give me culture and family and love.
4. Give me characters I want to root for and in the end, there's a HEA.

What am I missing in my inbox?
1. I want smushy sweet romance that makes me tear up when I read--like LOVE, VICTOR or LOVE, SIMON or RED WHITE and ROYAL BLUE.
2. I want relationships that are full of friendship and happiness, especially written with a cast of diverse characters.
