Just finished watching #AlwaysBeMyMaybe on Netflix and I just need to say:

We need more romcoms featuring POC
We need more romcoms featuring POC

Interested in middle grade novel manuscripts about a brutally violent uprising of ruthless twelve year olds who hunt down every crusty old columnist who has a hot take on the outcome of a spelling bee. #mswl

"Eerie mystery for #YA. Unusual structure or elements. Think NIGHT FILM for a younger audience." @msmariavicente #MSWL mariavicente.com/representation

#mswl - books that emphasize the bridge between science and the arts; I went through a phase years ago where I read a lot of books on the history of math; NF pbs that are written using a super engaging hook or concept

#mswl - amazing stories about what human, animal or plant bodies can do (e.g. more like on a cellular/biology level, not biographies); NF books about scientific discoveries made by LGBTQIA+, BIPOC or neurodiverse people; a how-to book for teens about divestment and eco-activism;

...here's the not fully formed part - how to write and concept it so that it's super engaging to a trade picture book or middle grade audience. (That's where you come in, writers!)

some other science-related #mswl's (ugh, forgive the grocer's apostrophe). Space, astronomy, astrophysics. A book about how going to the moon now would be different than it was when the US went in 1969 (technology changes, etc.) for kids or teens.

#mswl - I would love to see a trade NF book exploring antarctica and climate change. (This idea is not fully formed, so bear with me...) So like, why protecting antarctica is important, who "owns" antarctica, what is actually physically present (animals, research stations, etc)..
