#MSWL: A book about grief, but not the kind that comes after death. Grief after a friendship ends. After losing a part of yourself. Over a loved one being gone mentally but not physically. All those other forms of grief that are not spoken of as much but still deeply felt.

hi #amquerying & #WritingCommunity folx,
i’d love to see more:
• contemporary stories for MG-Adult
• rom-coms, especially in YA (queer & diverse). I want a BIPOC f/f story so badly!
• twisty YA thrillers and horror (& adult, always!)

Olympic-related #MSWL: A reminder that that I'd love more narrative nonfic/memoir by athletes or about extreme sports. I'm obsessed with stories about what the human body is capable of. I recently watched the doc It's Easy Until It's Not—I'd love stories about events like this!

I simply devoured Nekesa Afia’s “Dead Dead Girls”. If anyone has a historical murder mystery with a queer/BIPOC protagonist in their drawer, send it my way!🥂 #MSWL

A reminder that A. Philip Randolph had the space to develop his radical labor critiques because his wife Lucille was a good friend of Madam CJ Walker’s and ran a Walker salon of her own to support the two of them while he took classes and organized. twitter.com/keishablain/st… pic.twitter.com/8nHbuAUa0z#MSWL for both of the Randolphs

A friend of mine pitched me a book idea tonight, and if anyone has written/is writing this book, I WANT: a book about the friendship and rivalry between the young skateboarders at the Olympics, the 12-20 year olds that are super skilled and just go out in competition looking......like it's just a big game! The 12 year old Japanese skater and the 13 year old British skater would be epic characters. #MSWL

I couldn’t write a morally perfect character even if I wanted to. My work isn’t meant to be an instruction manual for your life or a compass for your heart. Wild how much stories get critiqued thru that lense, more and more it seemsThis is why I’m always seeking characters who know what they’re about to do is wrong, and they do it anyway. #mswl

#MSWL Novels with the rageful, honest, visceral vibes of #NightBitch but that center women over 50.
