Last night at dinner we were discussing the idea of a MG book about a transgender child approaching a bar/bat mitzvah (or another religious gendered ceremony), one million percent #MSWL

Also, video game competitions and maybe even cons in MG! Dungeons and Dragons too? Something nerdy and feisty and showcasing kids who aren’t afraid to be who they are and ROCK. THE. WORLD. With their nerdiness. #MSWL

I’m not a cooking manuscript person, but I AM a sports person. Baseball. Dirt bikes. Paintball. Dance. Gymnastics. Girls playing in boys sports. Anyone have a female quarterback in MG? Maybe The Sandlot but for a girl? #mswl

I would love a story (I'm leaning toward middle grade) where a student takes on the school dress code. Dress codes are notoriously discriminatory (both sexist and racist) and I would love to see that tackled in fiction. #MSWL
