Quressa Robinson (she/her/queen)
I love girls with hard outer shells and soft, gooey centers!
Still looking for MG--found families, generational stories, fantasy, friend gang adventures like STRANGER THINGS or THE GOONIES, siblings, and besties growing apart.
Erin Eliza👻Booth Grimoire 💕🎃🏳️🌈💀 @kitsune_ramblesCan we start a YA trope called "ridiculously powerful girls and the sweet yet deadly boys who gladly walk through fire to kneel at their feet" because that's what we need in 2018 thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
Sarah Guan @Sarah_GuanAll this chatter about a vampire (and werewolf) comeback. I have thoughts...
I like my supernatural, human-but-not characters. But I’d love some new takes—not the resurrecting of classics that worked the last time around. Let’s see new perspectives get a bite at that apple.
Yeah this whole thread is #mswl. I'm trying to think about arranged marriages/dates in a vampire family. The church boys my mom tried to throw at me...vampire mama would be uber-meddlesome.
Sarah Guan @Sarah_GuanCan you imagine an unfortunate young (born after 1945) Chinese vampire bringing home a Japanese boyfriend when the vast majority of her family lived through World War II? Now, that's a teen vampire romance I'd want to read!
I would like this as well!!!!!! #mswl
Rin Chupeco @RinChupecoFairy tale retelling where the girl befriends the dragon and both proceed to burn the whole kingdom down to the ground for trying to sacrifice her to the dragon in the first place
Kaye Dreams of Fluffy Romcoms @gildedspineThis is your Wednesday reminder that if you are a marginalized author writing a magical school, I AM SO HERE FOR IT AND YOU. Write it. Please.
Also, there are no limits to writing magical schools with different functions, experiences and value. Do not cancel yourself out.
Giveth me magical public school in the hood. #MSWL
Teen Vogue @TeenVogue"Colorism perpetuates the same Eurocentric philosophies of racism that have helped oppress darker skin people around the world for centuries." tnvge.co/Qc8ZtJL
I'd love to see a project about colorism, its history, and how it's still pervasive today. #MSWL
Quressa Robinson (she/her/queen) @qnrisawesomeWhat it's like to remember those poor days, even though your life has changed. Or what it's like as a teen to be friends or date people who don't quite understand your struggle. To my roses that grew from concrete, I see you and want you complex, joyful, messy, heartfelt,
hopeful, triumphant, lovely stories. Send them to me! #MSWL.
Jennifer Grimaldi @JA_GrimaldiGothic supernatural horror with the tragic beauty of CRIMSON PEAK & the romanticism of JANE EYRE. Bonus points for tragic staring off into the bogs #mswl
