The exhibit "Tales from La Vida" celebrates Latinx comic book work, showcasing art pieces from the book of the same title. The exhibit captures world views of today's Latinx artists and features almost 40 narratives. Now on display in the AAACNA Center until 9/28. #KingLibrary15 pic.twitter.com/6mTuAFIQIvHELLO THIS BUT YA OR MG IS HARDCORE ON MY #MSWL

Am I too late for #MSWL Day? I’m looking for laugh-out-loud MG with a great ‘voicey’ protagonist! Also fab twisty mysteries in MG. And a swoony romance/love story in YA, especially (but not exclusively) LGBTQIA please! See my profile & sub guidelines at skylark-literary.com

Little late to #MSWL today, but I'd love for some agents to send some illustrated, quirky, pop culture adult nonfiction or some lighthearted, contemporary MG & YA with some strong nerd culture flavor! (I've been itching for some cosplay/comic con/food competition stories.)

Magical realism in MG and YA, especially where the magic is tied to the setting or the season. Place as character is a fav story element for me #MSWL

And since I am particularly craving MG, I'll include some of my most desired elements today. If you have these, do send them!
Creepy or spooky stories that are still age-appropriate like CORALINE. #MSWL (1/3)

Anything mg or YA that can be comped to AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER, especially if it heals my poor Zutara-shipping heart. Most of all, I love the character interactions in ATLB, the fully-realized sweetness and depth. Plus the unique world! #MSWL

Coming late to #MSWL Day: Educational PBs that read like trade ones; character-driven MG; truth-telling YA; all of it diverse; #ownvoices preferred.

Dipping out of sabbatical for #mswl!
First, I’d love to see more nonfiction. Especially interested in ecology/conservation & American history through the lens of marginalized people.
I’m also on the lookout for big-hearted, voice-driven middle grade—with plenty of humor, obv.

Most importantly, whatever ya or mg story it may be, a unique voice and complex characters will instantly draw me in. Ultimate #MSWL

#MSWL Still looking for a creepy MG ghost story. One of my favorite books as a kid was THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS*, by John Bellairs. Would love to find a modern day haunted house MG.
(*The illustration of the headlights still keeps me up at night. Eep!)
