I'd love to find magical realism/ historical fantasy along the lines of Isabel Allende's Daughter of Fortune, or Gabriel Garcia Marquez. #MSWL

I'd sell my soul at the crossroads for a Southern Gothic magic-infused MG/YA novel. #MSWL

#mswl (for agents) I'm looking for magical realism all along the spectrum from THE NIGHT CIRCUS to Helen Oyeyemi. I'm also looking for funny novels with sharp teeth and voicey novels with international settings (beyond UK, though those are of course welcome)

I LOVE Fantasy (Urban, Contemporary, Epic, the whole wazoo). Give me lush worlds, fabulous magic systems, diverse and deep cultures. I'd love to see these also grappling with environmental issues or disability/mental health #MSWL

Magical realism is a thing I absolutely love. Think Practical Magic, but more romance. #MSWL

Fantasy, but make it fresh: unique settings, unusual formats, underrepresented mythology, magical realism, paranormal (yes, paranormal!). I've seen a lot of queries comping to GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE and MY LADY JANE. Keep 'em coming! #MSWL

#MSWL - #YA: I've become so much pickier in terms of genre fiction because I want to see something new. Give me a new twist on court intrigue or "chosen" ones. More contemporary fantasies/magical realism. Retellings of new/different stories.

In #Adult I’d love to see more women’s fiction from underrepresented voices, projects with hints of magic (think The Night Circus), romcoms, historical fiction, and books with strong hooks that would be the perfect read for your next book club #MSWL

In #MG #MSWL I’d love to see: upbeat contemporary, magical realism, fun-filled fantasy adventures, charming mysteries with strong hooks, as well as stories that deal with shifting friend groups, activism, and projects that feature pets (especially dogs!) (3/)
