Kaitlyn Johnson - closed to Queries @RedPenKaitlyn
It's almost time!!! Given how I'll be opening my query box again in November, here's my new and improved #MSWL 😆 #amagenting #querytip #amquerying pic.twitter.com/nbD7rKjsClIn YA & MG, I really want historical, paranormal, contemporary, fantasy (of all kinds!), and non-graphic horror
Keep in mind, I'm super on the hunt for LGBTQ+, diverse voices, and new settings/events/creatures that aren't mainstream

In the same vein...someone please send me queer Midsommar. As my brilliant coworker @jruoxichen pointed out, the plot SHOULD have been: "Florence Pugh rejects mediocre man and joins Scandinavian lesbian collective to sing crop rites and do craft." I need it. #mswl pic.twitter.com/aokKhnXS5FLook alive out there, my undead agent friends! @_kristintemple dropping some #horror #mswl goodness and we demand to see it!

IT'S HALLOWEEN MONTH IT'S HALLOWEEN MONTH so let me start a ✨spooky✨ #mswl thread for what I'm looking for @TorNightfire (adult horror) and @torteen (YA)
I'll update this thread periodically throughout the month.

I'd love an #ownvoices upmarket 20th C historical fiction - ideally with a secret something that has to be revealed (I'm thinking ala Lovecraft Country without the Lovecraftian horror/fantasy elements, which is ridiculous to say but I want it) #MSWL
What I would really find special would be a destination horror. For example, the Island of the Dolls in Mexico City would be an amazing setting. Give me more that the typical US spots. The darker, creepier, and more gothic it is...the better.
My favorite horror is definitely more psychological. Real people becoming monsters—Ma, Us, and Get Out are perfect examples of this.
Truth be told I love campy, tropey horror. Some favorite campy movies of are Cabin in the Woods and Evil Dead.
