Generally, I'm looking for mostly Adult right now, and specifically from BIPOC and QBIPOC creators. Contemporary romance, paranormal romance, historical romance, contemporary/upmarket fiction, cozy mysteries, thriller (non crime), light horror, & light fantasy. #MSWL

Queer YA genre fiction of any kind. Fantasy, Mystery, Thriller (I didn't know I liked thrillers, but SURRENDER YOUR SONS got me this year), Sci-fi, Romance, Historical, Horror (as long as it's not too grisly; think Hill House, not Halloween). Most especially from QBIPOC #MSWL

Just casually retweeting all my previous #MSWL tweets about fluffy/fun books about black teens and BIPOC in historical fiction.

I’m not going to lie, Historical Fiction is in desperate need of diversity and discussion on social justice and its association with how we tell history. It’s the most underdeveloped genre. This is a great thread and diverse historical fiction with relevant themes that interrogate the same questions we’re asking today are definitely on my #MSWL

I don't know whether it's the season, or just 2020 in general, but I am craving a warm and wise and magical witchy story right now, brimming with sisterhood and secrets (historical or contemporary). Bonus points if it has a compelling romance! #MSWL

Hello sweet writers! I will be closing to queries at the end of the month, so if you were planning on submitting to me (via query manager, I delete things that come into my inbox unrequested) this is your metaphorical five minute warning!I'll be updating this thread over the next few days with #mswl thoughts and ideas as they occur to me, and I'll start with saying that if you have a western, especially a historical one featuring queer and/or BIPOC characters, please hit me up!

My doctor just told me about the 12th century physicians of Salerno: the usual Greek/Latin men plus Jews, Muslims, and women! They pooled their knowledge and practiced science-based medicine. BUT then they disappeared. Gotta be a story there. #mswl #historicalfiction or #NF

Putting it out into the universe that I’d love more historical romances centering on Black, Indigenous & POC written by BIPOC in my query inbox. Please & thank you 🙏 (bonus points if one of your character inspos is Dev Patel. Kidding... kind of.) #MSWL

I made up a #MSWL! The main problem is that there are honestly more things that I DO want to see books made of than not, but hopefully someone finds this helpful✨

We’re also on the hunt for historical novels. Specifically, we’re looking for new concepts offering different perspectives and previously untold stories, preferably set in the 19th or 20th centuries.

I just had a call with a fabulous editor who mentioned she’d like to find a glamorous upmarket historical about the Harlem Renaissance! Can I second this #MSWL x1000 🙏

10/10 was the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire. These are two wonderful books to introduce your students/kids to this piece of #history #ChicagoFire@KateChicago

What about a YA historical set during the Great Chicago Fire...? That sounds promising. #MSWL
