Rom-coms! I'm being slightly picky in this area as I have quite a full list, but I am still looking for incredibly tropey, spicy and laugh out loud funny rom-coms!!

For contemporary stories, I am looking for confident high-concept speculative novels à la Ann Liang. I am very selective in the YA realistic space, and I’m looking for super commercial, funny, and well-plotted.

In Adult, I would particularly love a funny/satirical horror, a humorous, over-the-top mystery/thriller, or a locked room mystery in a spec fic setting.

I'm NOT typically the right fit for hist fic, military, police procedurals, high fantasy/sci-fi, dystopian, or literary fic.

A personal reading update in case it’s helpful to see what I’m into right now! I adored How To End a Love Story & Funny Story. I’ve loved Yulin Kuang since her YouTube days, and her debut is funny, romantic, & emotional. And, of course, EmHen remains the romcom queen. #mswl

On my #MSWL are SEL books, books with authentic neurodivergent rep, funny/quirky books, Christian, holiday themed books that focus on holidays outside of Christmas/Halloween, found family/adoption.

#PB Timeless picture books, especially w/ a new format or approach. Unexplored topics, new perspectives, exceptional writing, true-to-life characters. Kid-facing, non-didactic, empowering, authentic, award-worthy.
Also fun, quirky, and funny picture books!

Always voice driven, often funny, sometimes heartbreaking... Characters are key for me! I can fix a plot. 🤓 I am not great with genre fiction, though there are exceptions if the writing is irresistible to me.

For MG I'm interested in finding a high concept fantasy adventure, or a funny heart-warming narrative. I'm always on the look out for writing from underrepresented voices and so please do get in touch with your stories. 2/3
