YA / crossover is the big one, and there I'm looking for new takes on big commercial / genre, as well as funny, uplifting, voice-led novels, and (always) teen books full of sex, politics and content that teenagers actually want to read but that gatekeepers are sh*t scared of...

On the subject of middle-grade, I'm still not seeing enough comedy by women. I continue to wax about it, but @sharnajackson's HIGH RISE MYSTERY is the perfect example of a funny, clever adventure with all the life and representation that I'm looking for.

I would so love for these stories to be funny, silly, celebratory - in all possible genres (but especially comedy or horror, FYI) and up and down the age-ranges, but especially middle-grade.

“In non-fiction, I want to read about historical funny women, your Lucille Balls and Bea Arthurs. For humor in fiction, think the next Mrs. Maisel.” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

In light of the continuing clusterf*ck in the book world, popping up on your feed to casually mention1) I'm one of the handful of QWOC editors at a Big 5
2) I'm in a buying mood for more SF/F/H for adult YA & MG
3) My list is majority queer and POC authors. And I'd love more.
I have some #MSWL asks floating that I'd love to see:
For young adult:
M. T. Anderson's Feed for the post-Instagram, post-TikTok generation
a YA version of The Wire (but with more funny bits and maybe an explosion or two).
a modern queer version of Ten Things I Hate about You

I am so excited to announce that I am now representing adult and crossover sci-fi, fantasy, and horror! MG & YA will continue to be a large part of my list (and I'm always looking for more!), but now I'm also actively pursuing and selling genre projects in the adult space.

Good morning! I added a few more genres to my #MSWL through the StringerLit query form. Would love some humor/satire/offbeat/quirky (we need that in the world!) and I added thrillers, upmarket. Send me your funny PB and more MG/YA. stringerlit.com
