I’m especially keen to see funny or lyrical picture book texts/dummies, author-illustrated young fiction, magical middle grade, literary and/or funny and/or high concept YA, clever non-fiction angles… and diverse voices in all of the above.

Adult: I'm technically open to it, because who knows what I'll find, but it's a super hard sell. I'm only interested in #ownvoices projects that walk the line of being funny and lighthearted while still adding to a larger sociopolitical conversation.

For MG fiction, my interests fall heavily on the action-adventure scale, especially stories informed by non-western mythology and folklore. Loud and funny is a better fit than quiet and contemplative. In nonfiction, I love topics that kids—and I—can geek out about.
