I am open to select Middle Grade projects - fantasy and contemporary. I want to see really unique characters from backgrounds less-often explored in MG. I definitely want to see LGBTQ+ protags and families, other unexpected family structures, & mental health conversations. #MSWL

#MSWL But I would love adult contemporary romance that challenges the reader to consider race, culture,& religion as characters navigate the relationship. If you think your book will challenge me to look critically at myself and my privileged white perspective, I want to read it.

#MSWL Looking for adult contemp romance: primarily queer or neurodiverse. I really want to focus on queer and/or autistic relationships and show the broad range of experiences that heterocis/neurotypical creators/characters have tons of page space to show already.

#MSWL Would also really love to see more picture book and YA contemporary stories written by Native American/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit creators. Authors or author/illustrators welcome.

I desperately want YA contemporary. Powerful female friendships fraught w/tension & drama. An updated YA Girl: Interrupted. Show me how a peer catastrophe in high school truly feels like the end of the world. Validate those moments & their impact.

Also on my #mswl always is YA contemporary, including mysteries, thrillers, and contemporary with a touch of magic or a speculative element. I particularly love grounded stories with magic such as THE RAVEN BOYS.

Fall is just the perfect time for getting cozy and curling up with a great book. This week my #mswl includes a contemporary gothic horror, a boarding school setting with a twist, and a home/lifestyle/business non fiction that will help us get organized for the new season!
