A couple things I REALLY want to read right now.

Historical YA with no magic, especially if its gothic/southern gothic.

Romantic Comedies, but with a new twist or perspective. Example: diverse backgrounds, gender-bending, or a retelling of Shakespeare/fairtales/myths. #mswl

I just watched the first episode of #ThePolitician and WOW it’s dark and hilarious.

And so, of course, I now want a dark YA comedy!!!! #mswl

I'm wondering why I almost never get queried with contemporary manuscripts. Perhaps it's the 'all genres' that's making people shy away...
