This is the most obvious #MSWL ever, but...I want books like To All The Boys I've Loved Before, in YA and Adult. This means:
--high concept
--romantic
--funny
--diverse!
--contemporary
--family B plots
--HEA

A more abstract #MSWL, but I loved this story about the last Blockbusters of Alaska and the role they played in their communities. I'd love to see a literary novel, YA or adult, that focuses on these social shifts due to technology.theringer.com/movies/2018/7/…
Abby, Amy's assistant, and I are still talking about this days later, and she came up with a genius idea: a love story between the last two people in an AOL chat room. #MSWL

#MSWL mid-age or older protags in a long-term romantic relationship. One that feels lived in, hard-earned, three-dimensional. There are so many uniquely awesome & stressful situations an SFF world— I want to see the ups & downs of getting into them w/ a longtime love by your sideCo-signing. Show me characters falling in love for the fourth time, with all the warts, while quietly and competently figuring out the galactic war/revolution/dystopia. #MSWL

"In a new standalone novel about the pain of forging your own path and the joy of finding your tribe, Coney Island-native Eva flees her domineering mother and the family funnel cake stand only to fall into the dark underground of competitive eating. But when she uncovers a plot😂 pic.twitter.com/F7eUbWABW3This take on #mswl is my favorite thing on twitter please never change

@kellyyanghk I’m still waiting for a picture book about the Chinese Exclusion Act, too. Picture books make history accessible to kids and I’d buy one in a second- and it would be so relevant to today! I never learned about it in school- only know bc it impacted the Chinese side of my familyEditor
The New Yorker @NewYorker
Sobbing near the dry goods, Michelle Zauner asks herself, “Am I even Korean anymore if there’s no one left in my life to call and ask which brand of seaweed we used to buy?” nyer.cm/makGPd6"We don’t talk about it. There’s never so much as a knowing look. We sit here in silence, eating our lunch. But I know we are all here for the same reason. We’re all searching for a piece of home, or a piece of ourselves."
What a beautiful, powerful read. #MSWL

Authors!
I'm looking to acquire romances featuring dark and tasty homecomings, such as a protagonist having left in disgrace, went to war, was sent to jail...
How do they get their HEAs??
