I'd love to find a dark fairy tale retelling in the vein of UPROOTED that plays with form/timeline/expectations. Looking for MG/YA/Adult! #mswl

I’m particularly interested in historical fiction and nonfiction for adults and juveniles. Give me the hidden backstory on an iconic event or person, or a pivotal but lesser-known character or incident. I want stories of people and issues that moved the needle. #MSWL

I'm open to queries and currently very caught up. (Hint, hint) I'm hungry for ya romance, queer romance for YA and adult space. Queer fiction in general. Chick lit/romcom. Women's fiction. I'd love a beach read in winter. #mswl

In short: my dream book has lovely sentence-level writing that pulls me in to the pages, an interesting plot with a good hook, is accessible but smart, and something with commercial oomph. That’s not asking for too much, right?? #MSWL

3. Romantic Comedies—I’d love to work on “frothy beach reads” that have both humor and heart. I love a strong voice + unique perspective. I need a commercial hook here. #MSWL

If you can picture a group of women splitting a wheel of brie + bottle of Pinot Grigio and talking about your book, send it to me. #MSWL

2. Women’s Fiction! I’d love to find the next Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick. (This is a WISH list, remember?) I love interesting voices/POVs, dual timelines with a historical feel, rhythmic language, generational sagas. #MSWL

1. Thrillers! I love gritty, juicy, scandalous thrillers. My favorite thriller authors include Gillian Flynn, Jessica Knoll, Lisa Jewell, and I’m excited to read what Samantha Downing + Wendy Heard write next. #MSWL

Okay #writer and #amquerying friends, I'm dying for some new #adult #horror-- could be speculative, realistic, paranormal, what have you. I'm particularly keen to see #horror that explores important contemporary issues, a la Get Out. You've got it, I wanna read it. #MSWL

This seems as good a time as any to ask for your Adult or YA f/f romances with a Princess Bubblegum/ Marceline-esque dynamic #MSWL

In Adult Romance #MSWL I'm partial to:
- Voice, voice, and also - voice
- Fun settings and interesting heroine jobs
- Dual POV is fine but separate them by chapters, pls
- Twisty plots but also follows standard story structure for category
- Did I mention voice? Because VOICE.

In Adult Horror #MSWL I'm partial to:
- Historical and/or sub-genre horror
- Literary-esque voice
- Not a slasher movie plot
- MAIN CHARACTER DRIVEN, not monster/killer driven
- I love moody, atmospheric, and creepy af
- Creative/unique monsters (if applicable)
- Gothic a plus

In Adult Thrillers & Mystery #MSWL I'm partial to:
- Female driven & #ownvoices
- Literary-esque OR super voicey commerical prose
- Fresh ideas and new takes welcome but it must fit the typical plot structure for these categories - if you don't know what those are, look it up.

In Adult SFF #MSWL I'm partial to:
- Fresh twists & unique concepts
- I love all kinds: dystopia, post apoc, space opera, high fantasy, low, magical realism, urban, etc - but it HAS to be different than what's already out there.
- Mash ups and new takes most welcome
