YA contemporaries! Again, I'm looking for YA that has MCs aged 16-18 in any of the genres listed above! Especially manuscripts that comp to HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS & UNFAIRLY CUTE and I KISSED SHARA WHEELER.

Historical YA! Think under-explored BIPOC/queer stories like LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB or THE DOWNSTAIRS GIRL and fun, academia-heavy gothics like ANATOMY!

Mystery/thrillers! I'm especially looking for YA mysteries that comp to Holly Jackson, Courtney Summers, and Tiffany D. Jackson! For Adult, I'd love to see historical mysteries like DEAD DEAD GIRLS, academic mysteries like THE IT GIRL, and fun thrillers a la Stacey Willingham!

Upper-YA & Adult Fantasy! Think historical reads like THE LAST MAGICIAN, A MARVELLOUS LIGHT, and BABEL and/or fun queer/BIPOC contemporaries like CARRY ON or LEGENDBORN. I'm not looking for epic/high fantasies, but send your grounded fantasies my way!

On the YA side I want more SFF that features friend groups over “the chosen one” trope - I love a chaotic but loving found family! #mswl

Illustrated graphic novels and graphic nonfiction by individual author/illustrators. MG, YA, Adult. The art needs to cleverly utilize the comics storytelling format. I’m not looking at script-only submissions at the moment. #MSWL

Weird and wonderful YA novels. Just the slightest touch of magic, or stranger, or unsettling in an otherwise ~perfectly normal~ world. #MSWL

Also in YA, LGBTQ+ love stories. Give me Heartstopper. Give me Kurt/Blaine or Santana/Brittany from Glee. Over-the/top adorable feels to warm my cold, bitter heart. 💖 #MSWL

I am always looking for adult and YA SFF! That includes pretty much any speculative fiction you can think of, although I prefer my sci-fi on the heavier side. (So not really near-future stuff that's "just" dystopian without awesome tech etc.)
