So, time for another #MSWL, in the run-up to tomorrow's #askUpstart session. HUMOR, people! I love books that make me laugh, in every category; PB, CB, MG, YA. Here's a couple reasons why:

We need to do right by this planet. Would absolutely love a picture book about the Amazon that sheds light on how desperately we need to care for our natural resources and marginalized societies. #MSWL

Earlier this year I put out into the Universe that I want to see more nonfiction at @bookendslit & the Universe responded. @AgentJessicaA & @wensday95 & I have taken on & sold some amazing & exciting new nonfiction projects. #MSWLJust going to throw out in the universe that I am still looking for some amazing trade MG and YA non-fiction! (PB too, but I'm just not seeing as much NF for older readers in my sub box!) #mswl

But when agent screws up, authors sometimes have trust issues.I get it, totally. Please don't hesitate to query me & talk opwnly if you were recently impacted by 1 of these events where an agent didn't do their job according to industry standards.I would love to see your work. 2/#MSWL Adult and YA fantasy, sci fi, romance. Picture books featuring diversity, food, or fun word play. Middle grade based on unique mythologies, and always, diversity across all spectrums including LGBTQ, authors/characters of color, and neurodiversity. Queryme.online/naomidavis

Love, Tara @TalkativeTara
In a rare episode of Tara Has An Opinion About Picture Books, can I just say to publishing: please use them as an opportunity to teach kids pronoun flexibility! I WISH I had learned it earlier + would probably have less slip-ups today. There’s no reason to be so rigid.#MSWL (Is that the hashtag?) Someone send me a pb that does interesting things with they/them/their?
