For #MSWL day, here's my current list: I am always looking for high-concept commercial fiction for MG, YA, adult. Favorite genres are horror, mystery, suspense, thriller, and contemporary.

YOUNG ADULT:
- A fresh, self-aware diverse romance ala #JaneTheVirgin for teens
-A LGBTQIA+ story that doesn’t feature a coming out story
-A freshman year of college story!!
-A gritty, heart-pounding thriller rooted in character with a slow-burning romance

Just thought of one more - YA - The Phone Booth (Yes, that 2002 thriller) but instead of a phone booth the MC gets a text and is dragged into this world murder and mayhem in the ultimate game of cat and mouse #MSWL

I'd sell my soul for a post-apocalyptic thriller/horror novel where the protagonist (or a POV character) breaks their glasses and has to survive without them #MSWL

Whereas I love the suburbs (& small towns) so send to me. Maybe cause I grew up in the south in suburbs + country, but SO MUCH goes down in the suburbs and small towns.

- BUT I’m open to YA horror, and adult and YA fantasy, scifi, and thrillers as well

I also love mysteries and thrillers that gravitate towards dark horror elements, like THE WHISPER MAN. One of my top reads so far this year. #MSWL

Adult #Mystery, #Thriller, #Suspense-- I love my dark mysteries and thrillers along the lines of Tana French. I will never do a #MSWL without Tana French's name. Ever. I've read a ton of Ruth Ware this year, and loved it all.

An #ownvoices thriller, filled with twists and turns and an ending that gives me whiplash. I think we've seen enough unreliable narrators. I want a narrator who knows what's up but is in great jeopardy. #MSWL

send me a dark, twisty, literary thriller, YA or adult - a complicated narrator that i hate to love or love to hate. i'm a gigantic kate morton fan and would l-o-v-e that kind of dual timeline sweeping generational mystery. please. seriously. PLEASE. #MSWL
