Cimone Watson @bachbunny@petejknapp What does that mean? Books that take place in autumn? Or books that have autmn-esque themes?
mostly it means I love this weather -- but definitely autumnal books, witchy books, books that feel either cozy or spooky all are on my #mswl!
“With non-fiction I want to learn something by accident, tell me a good story in a fun new way that keeps me thinking. I really enjoyed Carlo Rovelli’s SIX BRIEF LESSONS ON PHYSICS.” @maureen_moretti #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/
Hannah Allaman @hallaman13“Hell is a teenage girl”—PLEASE, someone send me a queer, feminist, campy horror novel in the vein of Jennifer’s Body, which I just watched for the first time (because that original marketing campaign, yikes) and omg. #MSWL
Send it to me first!! #mswl

bradley babendir, acolyte of the horrible goose @therealbradbabsspeculative fiction about raymond chandler where he’s a millennial and he still wears a suit to write everyday but instead of smoking a pipe he is smoking a juul. makes you think.
General #MSWL stuff: magic/spells gone wrong, ghosts, resurrections, possessions, the end of the world scenarios, characters who get themselves into weird/messed up situations that push them to their emotional limits, & friendship stories, especially friendships that ended badly.
Artist Alley yesterday plus ending the day with the @RHKidsGraphic panel has me SO pumped for more graphic novels 😍😍 So that’s my one exception to being closed to queries right now! Send me all your pitches and proposals, from early reader through adult (no memoir, tho)! #MSWL
Happy #feelgoodfriday! This story from the summer has been on my mind as next week is #mentalhealthawarenessweek. I loved seeing these kids take a stand for students’ #mentalhealth and making a positive change in Oregon #kidlit #MSWL
Eva Scalzo 🇵🇷 @evascalzoI’m always talking about wanting to see books that represent my culture, but the other day I went out to dinner w a friend and her daughter who also happens to be a type 1 diabetic. And I don’t see many books who represent this part of my identity.
So my #MSWL would be a book where one of the characters have a chronic illness (like diabetes) but not where the plot is all about them having the illness. It’s just a character trait & sometimes you have to deal with it but mostly you just live & love & have GMC unrelated to it.
Happy 14 years of being a type 1 diabetic to me!!! With my agency's recent relaunch, I guess it's a good time to note I'd love to see some manuscripts with type 1 diabetic protagonists - or chronic illness, disability, neurodiversity rep in general. #mswl
