DID YOU KNOW I’m interested in adding magic and light fantasy to my MG list? In the vein of the funny, contemporary realistic books I love to publish with a dash of magic to alter the world we think we know. #mswl

Top of my list: more family capers! Stories that celebrate the messiness & complexity of family systems & how they shape our worldview. I adore a well-drawn, offbeat family as an ensemble cast. #mswl

In realizing that my last movie was “Pain and Glory” & I just ordered the book “Pain,” it occurs to me I sure have a brand. My #mswl is easy for agents to target via Mad Libs style mashup titles of language for sex, sadness, grief, or anguish!

Anything about language, whether that's visual (I once saw an internet thing where the animals were made out of Arabic script 🤯) or a plot thing (about an English language learner? About... spelling???? 👀) or a nonfiction thing (hello emojis). #mswl

Middle grade about the spaces where kids get to feel like themselves, like camp, or the treehouse they spent all summer saving up to buy with their friends (ahem) #mswl

Picture books with great visual storytelling (or texts that leave lots of space for it) #mswl
