- ROMANTASY, needs no explanation methinks (side note - I’d love to see vampires make a comeback)
-keeps me on the edge of my seat THRILLERS, extra points if it includes a good whodunnit
-psychological or supernatural HORROR, that leaves me going to sleep with the light on
While sick, I’ve been binge watching to kick off autumn. If you’ve got a slow-building horror / thriller / mystery with characters you care about like in SIGNS, I want it. Or a book centered on sisterhood, breaking curses, and cozy witchcraft like in PRACTICAL MAGIC, gimme #MSWL
I closed to queries for a while, but I'm baaaack! A quick #MSWL note to celebrate While kidlit will always have my heart, I'm actively trying to build up the adult side of my list—so if you've got thrillers, romcoms, horror, spec and contemp fiction, I wanna see!
#Adult #MSWL :
- LGBTQ+ romance & diverse casts
- romcoms especially!
- enemies to lovers, slow burn, villain/hero, love triangles
- psychological & cerebral horror with diversity!
- horror that stems from the real world & paranormal
- social commentary!

I’m looking for… (1/5)
I’ve been really wanting to find a truly scary horror, but that isn’t supernatural. Scare the sh*t out of me with things that exist around me everyday. (I will also look at supernatural horror, this is just something I’ve been on the hunt for.)
I will be open to MG, YA, and Adult.
MG - all genres, adventurous and diverse stories w/ high personal stakes, coming of age
YA - all genres, esp. fantasy! Fast paced, lush world building, clever voicey protags, trope-filled!
Adult - LGBTQ+ Romance & Horror
MG Horror is my most favorite type of horror. Got vibes similiar to OVER THE GARDEN WALL? Yes please! Or if you can comp to any of these titles, please query me: HIDE AND SEEKER by Daka Hermon, THIS APPEARING HOUSE by Ally Malinenko, THE HOUSE THAT WHISPERS by Lin Thompson #MSWL
Flowing into September, here's what I would LOVE to see in my inbox: HORROR!!!! It's spooky time folks, and horror is probably my favorite genre. Let's see if we can tick that genre way up, especially from POC & queer writers. Ghosts are my absolute favorite. #MSWL
"I'd really love to get more YA horror in my inbox. Smart horror. I don't want gore, I want a story that creeps me out, and asks questions I don't want answers to."
Horror is probably my all-time favorite genre. I love anything and everything spooky, especially for MG audiences. With Halloween right around the corner, I'd love to see my inbox filled with scary stories.👻If you have a horror with a video game theme, GIMME. #MSWL
“Seeking upmarket speculative fiction—grounded fantasy, magical realism, and horror—comparable to stories by Angela Carter, Gregory Maguire, Naomi Novik, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and Helen Oyeyemi."
