Jessica Sinsheimer @jsinsheimGood morning! It's #MSWL day!
Agents + editors will be tweeting what they wish they had in their inboxes.
Writers can take note of which agents may be a good fit, and then submit work traditionally.
Need any help? @kkhendin and I are standing by!

dongwon @dongwonI love the idea of #MSWL day but I'm rarely looking for a very specific concept or type of book. I just want the book to be yours and yours alone. To be so specific you can see the whole world in its details. That said, here are a few things that are very top of mind for me:
Contemporary horror/thriller focused on the experiences of POCs. We live harrowing lives and ones that see the world from a different angle. Film/tv has done a great job of catching up to representing those experiences. I want more of it in books. #MSWL
+ magical realism (set in known world), spec fic
+ horror, supernatural elements
+ witches (a la The Craft)
+ serial killers
+ black magic (set in the known world)
+ legends, myths, folklore-inspired
+ female protags
I want horror, mystery, and suspense across all categories. Give me serial killers. Give me unreliable narrators. Give me the Satanic Panic. Give me the weird shit. I love dark stories that are challenging and unexpected. #MSWL
Carlisle Webber @carliebeth#MSWL day! To start I’m on the lookout for high-concept MG, YA, and adult fiction. More on what that means here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-conc…
Within that realm, I’m looking for pop fiction, contemporary, suspense, mystery, thriller, horror, women’s fiction #mswl
I like literary, high concept sci-fi in the vein of Ray Bradbury or Philip K. Dick. Bradbury in particular was great at really character-driven, emotion-driven stories, whether they were sci-fi, horror or contemporary. That's what I'm looking for in sci-fi. #MSWL
Happy #MSWL Day! I'm looking for commercial, literary and upmarket fiction for both adult and YA. I love mysteries, historical, magical realism, myth retellings, novel retellings, psychological thrillers/suspense, psychological/literary horror...
Seeking: Adult: thrillers, psychological suspense, SFF, contemporary romance, rom-com, & mysteries. YA: suspense/thrillers, SFF, horror, mysteries, historical, & contemporary. MG: SFF, action/adventure, contemporary, mysteries horror, & humor. #MSWL #diversity 4/4
