Romance—way more of it! Rom-Coms so funny that make me snort out my coffee, historicals with so much tension I want to pull my hair out, adventure/caper romance that takes me on a nailbiting ride or presents me with a mystery to solve. #MSWL

--I'd love an historical novel based on the Trung Sisters.

I do love historical stories across genres! I would love more stories centering real-life revolutions and recessions. My white whale is any accounts of Jose Martí. And if you take inspiration from Edwidge Danticat pls query me!!

Historical YA! Think under-explored BIPOC/queer stories like LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB or THE DOWNSTAIRS GIRL and fun, academia-heavy gothics like ANATOMY!

Mystery/thrillers! I'm especially looking for YA mysteries that comp to Holly Jackson, Courtney Summers, and Tiffany D. Jackson! For Adult, I'd love to see historical mysteries like DEAD DEAD GIRLS, academic mysteries like THE IT GIRL, and fun thrillers a la Stacey Willingham!

Upper-YA & Adult Fantasy! Think historical reads like THE LAST MAGICIAN, A MARVELLOUS LIGHT, and BABEL and/or fun queer/BIPOC contemporaries like CARRY ON or LEGENDBORN. I'm not looking for epic/high fantasies, but send your grounded fantasies my way!

Historical romances! Anything that comps to Evie Dunmore, Cat Sebastian, or Mimi Matthews with a queer, feminist, and/or BIPOC focus is for me! Also send holiday historicals like A HOLIDAY BY GASLIGHT my way!

Academia! Forgive me for desperately missing university, but I'm still looking for all of those old-book vibes. Dark academia historical mysteries; professor MC/love interests a la DANI BROWN; and an abundance of libraries!

I’m always curious for more historical fiction and narrative nonfiction from non-white/non-Eurocentric perspectives about events or individuals that deserve to be more widely talked about #mswl

As for historical: I'm always on the lookout for previously untold stories and unheard perspectives, particularly those of forgotten/misunderstood women a la THE PARIS WIFE, WEYWARD, THE CHRISTIE AFFAIR.

I'm also manifesting something heist-y! Whether that's contemporary and hilarious like COUNTERFEIT or a historical masterpiece like THE HOUSEKEEPERS (coming this summer), I'm open to anything in this space.

My women's fiction list is a little full; I'll be focusing on suspense, thrillers, book club historical, and contemporary novels with an edge for the first half of 2023.
