FICTION: Adult, YA, some Upper MG

1. My main jam is thrillers and sub-genres. Domestic suspense, psychological thrillers, gothic and supernatural thrillers/horror, etc. I love fast-paced thrillers with high tension and high stakes. Ghosts & haunted houses are a huge draw for me.

I love and devour everything by Simone St. James (aka crime / thrillers with a paranormal twist), so if you can comp to her even slightly, SOLD. I adore a good haunted house story with terrifying, angry ghosts. Loved MEXICAN GOTHIC by Silvia Moreno-Garcia recently. #MSWL

I also have a soft spot for weird gothic stories like Sweeney Todd or Corpse Bride. Would love to find a spacegothic similar to the vibe of Vampire Hunter D (without vampires though)

YA: coming of age romance like Last Night at the Telegraph Club or Ari & Dante w/gorgeous prose; coming of gender; atmospheric gothic (like The Handmaiden); historical/nf; mystery/thrillers like Firekeeper's Daughter or Patron Saints of Nothing; character-driven speculative. 4/6

I want to see every riff on the gothic. Reality show Gothic? yes. Gig work Gothic? hell yeah. I love creeping dread with a sense of play behind it.

Fantasy is my first love, but I'd really like to see more diverse fantasy drawing from underrepresented voices/myths/folklore/worlds, etc. I'd love to see some historical fiction/fantasy/alternate history! Gothic/Horror! Spies! Heists!
