#MSWL My narrative non-fiction taste is like obscenity: I know it when I see it. Always have an eye out for pop culture, wilderness and adventure stories, pop psychology, investigative crime nonfiction. If you have the next WE KEEP THE DEAD CLOSE, I want it and I need it.

#MSWL In YA: Ever on the hunt for my light-hearted Jewish rom-com. Particularly interested in the trend toward more traditional mysteries (see TRULY DEVIOUS, GOOD GIRLS, ACE OF SPADES) with a strong investigative drive. Always have room for smart, high-concept contemp retellings.
Editor
#MSWL big-hearted, body-positive, representative rom-coms that tackle the ugly and beautiful bits of love with humor. As always, very interested in leads who do not lose weight to find love. As always, very interested in canine co-stars. See: FLOAT PLAN, ONE TO WATCH, Emily Henry
Editor
#MSWL Brilliantly crafted, tightly plotted mysteries where the writing is as satisfying as the twists. This can range from more commercial—Riley Sager, Lucy Foley, Paula Hawkins—to the more literary end of the spectrum—Tana French, Megan Abbott, Gillian Flynn. Character is key.

#MSWL Still want my BEARTOWN! Drop me in the middle of a tight-knit community facing a reckoning and shape the conflict through the whispers of neighbors and friends. Get me so invested in the characters that I start to care about sports! Surprise me! See: LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE
Editor
#MSWL Clever social satire that takes us behind the curtain of worlds of privilege and skewers them with a sharp wit and kickass protagonist. Would love to see more social horror that applies thriller/horror tropes. See: NOTHING TO SEE HERE, SUCH A FUN AGE, OTHER BLACK GIRL
Editor
#MSWL coming of age stories that flirt with danger, suspense, and death. Juicy adult novels that explore the sinister side of friendships, relationships, and lost innocence (bonus points for alternating timelines). See: THE GIRLS, MY DARK VANESSA, YOU WILL KNOW ME, SECRET HISTORY

All right folks, fall is upon us so it's time for an #MSWL refresher. Agent friends old & new, I'm always down for a catch-up, so don't hesitate to reach out if any of this strikes your fancy!

I am once again asking for a plus-size protagonist whose happy ending does not include weight loss :) :) #MSWL

Just started EVELYN HARDCASTLE and realizing if a book’s setting can be described as a “sprawling Georgian manor entombed in ivy”, chances are I want to read it #MSWL

i wish the grief of losing a friendship was more tangible in conversations. friends are lovers too and those inevitable fallouts in the process of outgrowing deserve space for healing. it's a heartache that's so often very lonely to navigate with feelings of betrayal and blameTHIS. Friendship breakups can be equally as painful as romantic ones, and I’d love to see these stories represented (and in my inbox!) #MSWL

Loving all the West Wing-inspired rom com deals lately!! Please know I accept any & all thinly-veiled Sam/Ainsley fan fic #MSWL

Just finished THE FIVE by @HallieRubenhold—an incredibly thoughtful work of crime nonfiction. In a genre that elevates serial killers to celebrity, it’s imperative to recenter these narratives around the victims, whose lives are too often overshadowed and lost to history. #MSWL

Would love to see more fiction submissions in my inbox!! Particularly a big, emotional family drama with multiple POVs—some faves are LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE, BEARTOWN, and Bill Clegg’s DID YOU EVER HAVE A FAMILY #MSWL

Just listened to the @MyFavMurder podcast about Juliane Koepcke and holy #MSWL. Please give me a thriller in dual timelines about a woman surviving a plane crash in the Amazon and then decades later GOING BACK with a documentary crew
Editor
Also, here's a handy #MSWL! Eager for book club fiction, suspense, contemporary YA, and diverse voices. manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/sara… Please note: unless I directly request something and outside of #PitMad, I am only accepting agented submissions!

Day 17: a book with a name in the title. My permanent #MSWL and one of the most iconic title/cover combos #amreading
