I’d rather read mss that attempt difficult things and execute them pretty well than ones that attempt what’s easy and execute it flawlessly. Dream big #MSWL ! Open for submissions in May, read more about what I'm interested in at www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/ch... lfpbooks.bsky.social

Hi, this is Courtney at Handspun Lit participating in #mswl ! I'd love:
- cozy mystery comparable to Richard Osman; fun, feel good, centers a glimpse into unusual lives, character driven.
- high concept women's fiction
- cosy fantasy and sf
Reminder we reopen to queries March 1st!💜

I'm also looking for something truly Romantic, capital R. Sweep me off my feet w/ characters I can fall in love with - I like an asshole character as much as the next gal, but I also love love. Regency, Fantasy, just no contemporary. Something like LADY FOR A DUKE or A STRANGE AND STUBBORN ENDURANCE

Okay, agent friends, it's #MSWL time! I'm an Associate Editor at Penguin Workshop, looking for middle grade and YA, as well as graphic novels in both categories. I love historical fiction, fantasy, and mysteries, and if you have something that combines those elements in a clever way, send it to me!

It's #MSWL day! I represent adult SF, fantasy, and horror; also open to mainstream fiction with genre elements, or a deeply surreal/speculative flavor. This year, I hope to expand into romance and mystery, esp. with speculative elements. I like books to be smart, fun, and weird.

#MSWL Unusual retellings, and fiction that has a mythic quality or creates new myths! Bonus points for morally gray protagonists, stories that open doors to secret knowledge or hidden worlds, and genre elements from fantasy to historical with a twist, spec fic, and literary-commercial fiction.

Right now, the largest % of queries I receive are for the fantasy genre. Which is great, I love fantasy, but I also want my list to be balanced. So I would *really* love to see more queries in other genres: romcom, horror, mystery, historical, magical realism, graphic novel, etc. #MSWL

Happy #MSWL to all! This is my page, updated it relatively recently: www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/em... I will be open to queries again on the 3rd of March. I'd love some voicey YA, particularly with romance, picture books on topics not usually addressed in pbs & fantasy that sweeps me away.
