📚 More diverse, inclusive sport & competition stories! Send me entertaining stories that make palms sweat & hearts race & inspire us to get out & try something new. Underdog teams, determined solo athlete, and everything in between are fair game. So what counts? #MSWL

I’m not going to lie, Historical Fiction is in desperate need of diversity and discussion on social justice and its association with how we tell history. It’s the most underdeveloped genre. This is a great thread and diverse historical fiction with relevant themes that interrogate the same questions we’re asking today are definitely on my #MSWL

Though I’ve made an effort to change that over the last several years, I can’t buy what isn’t being published. I hope after reading this column, you’ll join me in asking publishers for more cookbooks from more diverse places, written by the people from those places. On the same wavelength--give me a narrative that ties food with memoir. Or! A novel! That ties food! With story! More like Mistress of Spices, The Particular Sadness... Pardon the pun, but I'm ravenous #MSWL

ROM COMS OR CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE. Let’s make it queer, inclusive, diverse. If fans of Talia Hibbert, Helen Hoang, Alexis Daria, or Casey McQuiston would read it—I want it!

I would love to get some more adult romcoms that have the high concept hooks and diversity that's been happening in YA romcoms! My adult list is still very bare and I'd love to flesh it out more with some new writers and projects. #mswlSame! #MSWL (agented only, so send to Thao first! 😉)
