how would you describe this genre of books because I love it: the Secret History, A Little Life, Brideshead Revisited, Special Topics In Calamity Physics. Books about beautiful smart pretentious way-too-close school friends who are surrounded by sexual tension, money, and death? This genre is 🙌 and a perpetual #MSWL

A brief review of #TheHauntingofHillHouse:BF: I'm so thirsty but I'm too scared to go get a glass of water. Will you go with me?
Me: Drink your spit.

Related #mswl: Give me a ghost story that breaks my heart while scaring my socks off. Part of why #TheHauntingofHillHouse is deeply terrifying is because we care so much about the Crains.

This is really interesting (and I would love to read a romance featuring a heroine who held one of these jobs.) #mswl The person running your favorite football team’s Twitter is probably a woman theverge.com/2018/9/19/1785… via @Verge
