been thinking about how the worst heartbreak i’ve ever suffered was from a friendship breakup, and how that is so rarely explored in YA. i didn’t know how to cope because i didn’t know anyone who had gone through something that intense. we need to fix this.

I can't tell you how much I say I want to acquire books about friendships, especially how to deal with either growing up and apart or having an incident that breaks the friendship apart. #MSWL

This is why I love novels that are focused on the bonds between young women -- crushes came and went, but my female friendships defined my high school experience. #MSWL
