Jeanne de Clisson, murderous French aristocrat-turned-pirate who named her ship My Revenge after the French king executed her husband. The “lunar gothic” style of architecture could be seen on every moon and asteroid in the solar system. We crafted dead rocks into castles of dark, lacy towers. Their stained glass windows glowed sky-blue in the light of the faraway sun, holding back the terror of living the void.hello I like this type of SF pls send #mswl

War disproportionately/differently impacts different populations w/in the same society. Veterans vs civilians, but also: different socioecon groups, industries (wartime vs peacetime economies), urban vs rural, ethnic minorities—esp ones w/ historic ties to "the enemy." #MSWL #SFFI see lots of books about kings, generals, &c.—the people who get to make decisions that shape a nation. But theirs aren't the only stories about war, nor always the most interesting—or necessary. (& history is full of great generals who became AWFUL peacetime leaders) #MSWL #SFF
