I love seeing djinn on the page, Muslim characters as heroes. I love settings that feel like feudal Japan, or that have that Blue Eyed Samurai vibe. And anything that feels like epic fantasy x horror. And DRAGONS, always dragons.

No specific #MSWL but I'd really love a story that meets all the guidelines below and is told with energy and humor.

Always voice driven, often funny, sometimes heartbreaking... Characters are key for me! I can fix a plot. 🤓 I am not great with genre fiction, though there are exceptions if the writing is irresistible to me.

I'm getting a lot of submissions in two categories lately, so maybe it's worth saying on here: I'm not looking to acquire more novels in verse at this moment, and my picture book list is quite limited. Right now, my #mswl is skewed toward mg and YA.
