4. Adding on chapter books (5-15k words)

Really interested in stories that teach older kids about life through adventures.

Examples: The Magic Tree House series, Yusuf and Yusra's Holiday Dilemma series, Jeronimo Stilton, Naruto (in book format)

3. FABLES

If you have stories that are folklore lite, I want them! They can be imagined or real stories from a culture.

Examples: 1001 Arabian Nights, Aesop's Fables

2. MORALS and LESSONS

I'm keen on publishing books that teach children about virtues (e.g., forgiveness, patience), emotions, and mistakes through a fun or engaging story.

Examples: The Boy Who Cried Wolf, My Hijab Is My Crown, Who Will Make Iftar With Me?

I'm the perfect one for you if your PB focuses on teaching children how to navigate this world with kindness, compassion, and sympathy toward themselves OR others via a story.

In 2023, I finally started seeing a neurologist for migraines. I also noticed how many women in my life suffer from migraines, too. There aren't enough memoirs and self-help books in this space--in fact, there are almost none. (11/)

20-somethings in the workforce don't have clear goalposts like in college. There's only societal expectation that doesn't always match with personal values. I'd love a book that helps folks create flexible life goals that get them excited for the future (10/)

Back to the Alcove list--setting boundaries can be a tall task for some folks, and in 2023 there was a lot of discussion about if you can set TOO MANY boundaries. People want to know how to do it right. Think SET BOUNDARIES, FIND PEACE (9/)

I publish true crime on the @crookedlanebks list--books about female serial killers and cults are high on my wishlist there. (8/)

In history, I'd love to publish unknown stories featuring women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and POC who we haven't heard about before, like HIDDEN FIGURES, THE SIX. I bid on some great ones in 2023 and would love to see more in my inbox in 2024. (7/)

I've been looking for a smart, inclusive book on menopause, too, something that would sit on the same shelf THE MENOPAUSE MANIFESTO but more targeted, honing in one aspect of menopause and/or a book for a specific group (ie early menopause) (5/)

A book about meaningful and equal partnership like FAIR PLAY and EQUAL PARTNERS, but with a unique angle or perspective from the author and inclusive language/approach would be perfect for the Alcove nonfic list. (4/)
