i wish the grief of losing a friendship was more tangible in conversations. friends are lovers too and those inevitable fallouts in the process of outgrowing deserve space for healing. it's a heartache that's so often very lonely to navigate with feelings of betrayal and blameTHIS. I just realized something horrible. I bet a huge reason why so many people think this whole 'queer fad' is a new youth culture thing is because the generation of queers that would now be our parents age are dead.AIDS robbed us of queers who would now be in their mid 40s-50s.
