This is why my #MSWL asks for stories that use real historical happenings as a basis for supernatural terror (i.e. Alma Katsu's The Hunger & The Deep and the TV series The Terror)!

I'm a sucker for a great first-contact SF with really interesting aliens and the real sense of discovery of a new world—but with a real understanding of the conflicts of colonialism. THE SPARROW is the goal here. #MSWL

Solar system or galaxy-spanning space opera. (NO humanoid aliens though!) Big story, big scale, big worldbuilding. Lotsa spaceships. #MSWL
