Olympic figure skating and romance. Someone please make this happen. #mswl

Ronan Sadler @ronanedits · Feb 23

a HUGE #MSWL for me is romance about trauma survivors, about the complexities of surviving and thriving after trauma and re-entering connection with others

Laura Zats @LZats · Feb 22

For adult romance, I am a sucker for:
-enemies-to-lovers
-forced proximity tropes
-banter
-MCs with cool, specific, and unexpected jobs, particularly in fields that are typically gendered
-verbal consent

#MSWL I would really love to see an adult M/M romance where a close friendship just naturally blooms into something so much more, though the characters may not yet have defined their sexual identity to each other. All heat levels.

In contemporary romance, I am much more likely to fall in love with a book that makes me laugh vs one that makes me cry. I'm not a huge fan of billionaires or motorcycle clubs, so those are probably best sent to other agents who love them.

Amanda Jain @wensday95 · Feb 16

Now for some specifics! In romance, I am particularly interested in historical romances, and would love to see more diversity in my submissions. Let's see the Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian periods through different eyes.

Who's up for some Friday afternoon #mswl tweets? Here are some specific things I'll be looking for at BookEnds!

As a general reminder, I rep adult romance, mystery, women's, and upmarket fiction, and have a deep and abiding love for historical fiction across all genres. I also rep narrative nonfiction, especially on topics like the literary world, food, material culture, & social history.

Lydia Sharp @lydia_sharp · Feb 16

here is my current #mswl:
YA romance - all genres
single title romance - all genres (see yesterday's tweets for what "single title" means)
category/series romance - contemp or historical
womens fiction with romance
NA romance - contemp or sci-fi
LGBTQ romance in any of the above

Just read about a veteran-owned adventure business. Extreme sports, extreme excursion, extreme experience for PTSD overcomers. Now, include that in a wonderful #Romance or #WF. I'd like that! #MSWL

“In romance, I prefer there to be something more than “will they get together”—maybe they save the town/kingdom/galaxy?” @kurestinarmada #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/
