Day 6 of #25DaysofMSWL: My colleague @wensday95 always has the best adult books that I wish were YA. Like her Bronte's retelling. So for today's #MSWL, I am going to retweet some of her MSWLs.

The man who came up with the idea of the singularity talks about it in a great interview:

#MSWL This, but in an future human-occupied earth-world where that super-intelligent AI is benevolent, but then maybe another super-intelligent AI shows up from another system, one who's not so nice.

"Historical novels where plot & setting work together i.e. NIGHTINGALE, ARCADIA, GIRL YOU LEFT BEHIND. I’m not interested in writers using historical novels to tell me how much research they’ve done. I want a very plotty historical. Beatriz Xilliams-Esque." @carlywatters #MSWL

I'm reading I'M WITH THE BAND on my break, and wasn't prepared for Pamela Des Barres' teen diary entries. She nails what it's like to be young, hormone-fueled, and utterly obsessed.

I hesitate to suggest it for #MSWL, but...done well, a YA along these lines could be awesome.

Day 5 of #25DaysofMSWL: Retellings. Let's see some interested spins on favored classics and some retellings of less retold works. Gender bent, new insights. Give me all kinds of stories from all kinds of cultures. #MSWL
