Diverse

Twisty, absurdly funny, fast-paced psychological thrillers, with #ownvoices teen POC, attacking ideas of identity, paranoia, plunder. Think 'Ripley' meets 'Get Out.' #MSWL #YA

Yes, please! Always looking for more friendship stories in YA and would love to see this featuring a diverse group friends. #MSWL #LGBTQIA #OwnVoices

"Diverse, geeky #YA love stories. In love with a rival at a video game tournament?" @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl/

I'd also like #Contemporary #Christian/#Inspy #YA featuring homeschooled students in an honest, ultimately positive light. Showcase the weird and wonderful side of this diverse community with humor and love. #MSWL

I'd like to see a novel that tackles the issue of #autism and police interaction, particularly for a POC on the spectrum, as discussed in this article by @hollyrpeete: huffingtonpost.com/entry/autism-a… #autismmom #MSWL #YA #WF

My #mswl: humor, an element of the absurd, magic, space, robots, mystery. On the serious side: characters & stories that help children explore concepts too often discussed in whispers. Especially want stories w/ diverse characters, authors, & illustrators. bit.ly/2Co7G79

I've had some really great illustrators sending material to my inbox in the last week. I'd still love to see more!! Especially whimsical, animals, fun, and colorful themes. I love to see diversity represented in illustrations as well. #MSWL

And when it comes to YA, I love just about everything.

But I'm really eager to find more diverse SFF novels and LGBTQ+ stories... books that make marginalized teens feel SEEN, not just in the now, but in far flung futures and lushly imagined fantasy worlds. #MSWL

I would really really love to find a racially-diverse SciFi, fantasy or novel with magical realism set in the south during or around the Civil War. That would be my dream manuscript right about now. #MSWL
