• YA Contemporary: relatable, everyday situations teens go through. Heartfelt, underlying messages or overall just a fun and feel-good read. Romance plot or self-discovery/coming-of-age. Would love to see a strong theater rom-com!

• YA Eco-Fiction: in today’s world or very near future, teens battling climate change or actively searching to save a species from extinction
• YA Thriller: edge of your seat who dunnit mystery, (Cruel Summer x One of Us is Lying)

But I will reopen to select YA genres as well. So it will be Adult SFF, Horror, and Mystery (not true crime). YA horror, thriller, and romance. No YA fantasy or science fiction or contemporary.

I haven't seen the sun in a month and it's affecting my #MSWL . Please send me more domestic thrillers, YA thrillers, stories about cults, and non-supernatural horror where the monsters are regular people.

📚 OGNs: I'm primarily looking for MG/YA graphic novels (preference for author/illustrator, but open to author-only!) As far as what I'm looking for, everything above applies here!

📚 YA: You'll steal my heart with unique magic systems. Creepy carnivals. Creepy abandoned buildings. New twists on the familiar.

And yes, I'll selectively be looking at queer rom-coms still (because reasons)!

📚 YA: I'm focusing more on genre fiction — namely fantasy and horror with an emphasis on works by authors from marginalized communities. I still have a soft spot for reimaginings (like...Count of Monte Cristo. Or if someone were to update Christopher Pike's The Midnight Club...)

Other specifics: friendship stories (or friendship breakup stories) and stories that bridge the gap between MG and YA. #mswl

I'm getting a lot of submissions in two categories lately, so maybe it's worth saying on here: I'm not looking to acquire more novels in verse at this moment, and my picture book list is quite limited. Right now, my #mswl is skewed toward mg and YA.

After a year at Creative Media Agency, I'm thrilled to open to #queries as an associate agent! I'm looking for:
