To relate it to my #MSWL, I don’t care what men want, but I do care about summer camp (counselors & their shenanigans-Upper YA/Adult) & rom-coms like TWD and WHMS (A)

There are other great examples but I'll leave it at that for now; you get the idea. I'd love to see any mashups like these, where you could almost fit it into a variety of genres. This goes for YA & adult, btw.

Some random/ very specific things:

1. A cheerleading book (Gay BRING IT ON)!
2. Gay BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM!
3. A story with a Type 1 Diabetic protagonist!
4. Stories like WEATHERING WITH YOU where climate/ weather is the antagonist!

Speculative fiction and with a lightly dystopian angle like WILDER GIRLS and WE SET THE DARK ON FIRE. Give me something so weird here it's impossible to fit in one category. #MSWL

Folkloric fantasy and fairytales with lush world building and gorgeous prose like WINTERWOOD, SORCERY OF THORNS, and HOUSE OF SALT & SORROWS. #MSWL

Fantasy will always me my 💜. But I'm especially on the lookout for contemporary fantasy, urban fantasy, and paranormal right now. Examples: A BLADE SO BLACK, THE DEVOURING GRAY, and CEMETERY BOYS. #MSWL

Dark fantasy, gothic fantasy, horror-fantasy blends, and stories with subversive religious themes. Think SERPENT & DOVE, WICKED SAINTS, and THE YEAR OF THE WITCHING. #MSWL

Historical novels both fantasy and realistic—especially overlooked or underrepresented stories in history (though I'm pickier when it comes to 20th century history). Examples of what I'm looking for: DREAD NATION and BLOOD COUNTESS! #MSWL

#MSWL Really in the mood for voicey, gritty contemporary YA. Give me messy characters struggling to hold it all together while dealing with difficult situations/emotions. I love bittersweet stories that hurt & also make me smile. (A plus if it’s LGBTQIA.) Please send them to me!

I need more puzzles, murder, and mystery in my box like TRULY DEVIOUS. YA and MG only. I'm not a fit for your regular cozy mystery novels. #mswl

-More nonfiction in MG and YA, esp science, art, history, etc. NF graphic novels are great here too.

-I'd love to see more mysteries, in MG, YA, and adult. I'm really into Veronica Speedwell and Veronica Mars.

-More intergenerational stories in MG, YA, and SFF. #MSWL

-More underrepresented creators, esp creators of color and disabled creators, telling #ownvoices and stories from the margins that need to be shared. #MSWL

-More stories that show the range of experiences of black and brown people, especially in MG and YA.
