I'm actively searching for more author-illustrators of picture books and illustrated chapter books! #MSWL

I'm participating in #MSWL Day! I've been working through my queries, and I'm almost ready to re-open. (Estimate: March 10) I'll be posting throughout today, and I'm so excited to see new subs in these areas: #fantasy #speculative #adventure #historical #mystery #suspense #horror

A few more #MSWL a bit early: I would love to find some chapter books and early readers (even better if you're also an illustrator).

I love board books as well, but those I want to see from author-illustrators.

For picture books, I'm willing to see text only, but I do prefer author-illustrators.

#MSWL I only represent children’s books, but I work with everything from board books through YA, both fiction and nonfiction. In board and picture books I prefer seeing submissions from author-illustrators.

My dream project is a picture book that connects with some of my New Age sensibilities. Astrology, Chakras, crystals...past lives! Surprise me with something like that, really well done, and I'd be very interested. #MSWL

#MSWL for picture books: picture day books!

I want a book with nature. #MSWl #PB

#MG : stories with a strong hook, fast-paced adventure, grounded fantasy, first crush or light romance—particularly on the hunt for stories by marginalized authors.

I’ll be opening to queries Feb 1-7 so thought I’d update my #mswl for a few things I’m particularly on the lookout for.

#PB : laugh out loud stories with a clear narrative arc, clever wordplay, twist endings, memorable characters. I’ll be open to both text only and author-illustrators this month.

I desperately want to find the equivalent of the picture book author in the Korean drama It's Okay Not to Be Okay. (If you've seen the show, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.) Maybe just a little less stabby. #MSWL

Please, I beg of you, once I reopen to queries in like a month, send me every children's manuscript (PB through YA) that someone told you was too strange to let out into the daylight. I must discover the next Roald Dahl or Edward Gorey. #MSWL

For picture books, I tend to lean towards a more commercial edge. And humor, with a heart of gold is 100% where my heart lies. #MSWL
