And now, for funsies, lets get some #MSWL up in here! I'm super excited to be getting more queer subs but would be very happy to see more BIPOC in my inbox. In this spooky season I would particularly love to meet more "monsters" (scary or not so scary) from other cultures.
If you are a BIPOC or LGBTQ+ author, I want to see your stories. Give me your amazing words and diverse characters.

One thing I'd love to see publishing do is buy more quiet stories by marginalized creators. Whenever I pitch a new project, I feel like I have to use โผ๏ธBIG FLASHY COMPSโผ๏ธMarginalized authors deserve to tell quiet stories, too. Happy stories. Stories where we can just...exist.
Sometimes the quiet stories can be more powerful than the flashy ones. Contemporary, historical, upmarket, literary, or women's fiction by BIPOC, LGBTQ+ authors #MSWL

Studies into healing revealed that full moon amplified the electrical charge in living cells. A sensitive voltmeter, attached to a tree picked up a faint electrical force. However, at the time of the full moon, this force soared upward on the scale. equinoxastrology.com/LunarLore.htm pic.twitter.com/70e4zE9bWrLiterary Agent

I judge all my submissions on three criteria - strength of concept (is it marketable? is it individual? is it interesting?), confidence of voice (you get a sense of the fluency of a voice from one page alone) and sustained compelling storytelling (which I need a full ms to judge)Right now I'm looking for contemporary fiction (both commercial and upmarket), historical fiction and crime fiction. I'm really keen to hear from diverse voices - BIPOC writers, LGBT writers, regional writers, disabled writers, working class writers, writers without a degree.

Iโm really craving cookbooks that bring non-Eurocentric food into peopleโs home kitchens, or cookbooks or food narratives by BIPOC chefs that shine a light on food as the heart of a community or culture. #MSWL
