Thing I’ve noticed: my YA list skews more girl, and my MG list more boy. I’d like to balance that, but still maintaining my overarching tastes: high concept, good plots, not-issue-books, joy and exploration and fantasy (both literal and just escapism). #MSWL
Sami Isman @SamiIsmanOn this #MSWL day I'm hoping for an adult female coming of age. Growing up as a girl is so much more complicated than as a boy, let's explore that!!
On that same note, relationships between mothers and daughters always fascinate me... think The Act or Sharp Objects (minus the Munchausen by Proxy) #MSWL
Annie Bomke @ABLiteraryIf the title of your book is SO AND SO AND THE SOMETHING SOMETHING, it probably isn't right for me. Why? Because most of those books are MG, which I don't rep. Some people will mis-categorize these books as YA, but when I read it, it's usually a younger voice. #MSWL
Also, those kinds of books tend to be big on action and light on characters, which isn't my thing. So even if it was really YA, I probably wouldn't be interested. #MSWL

YA contemporary: I don’t want good girls, nice girls, nice kids. I want kids with buried secrets and selfish truths. Ones that try their best to be good but falter and make the wrong choices. Dark tone, snarky but not the shitty kind of egotistical wittiness. #mswl
#MSWL Smart and sexy rom-coms (I want to laugh and fall in love!), epic family dramas, gritty and contemporary YA, true crime that reads like a suspense novel, anything food related (f and nf), pop science and history
Happy #MSWL Day!
I would love to a funny and uplifting friendship break-up / make-up story, or a fraught and complicated friend break-up story (perhaps a thriller?). #MG, #YA, #Adult Surprise me! #MSWL

Dana Murphy @manadurphysome #mswl hopes after losing a book I loved dearly (but ended up at a wonderful home!): give me your big hearted rom coms, give me your novels that feel like the best fan fiction, give me your F/F love stories!!!!, give me your happy endings with just enough angst in the middle.
