Q2 2/3 A few things on my #MSWL are: a really up-to-date bodyguard story, stories set in amazing and perhaps unexpected locations (think superyachts or the Orient Express...) and a secret baby story where it’s the heroine who gets the surprise! #UKRomChat

Two recent fave reads: THE LIGHT BETWEEN WORLS by @lauraeweymouth and GAUDY NIGHT by @Dorothy_Sayers. Plz send me stories with the emotional complexity I found in both of these and that leave me feeling as intellectually satisfied! #MSWL #amquerying #amreading

#MSWL In adult fiction I'm looking for:
-LIFE IN PIECES in book form (& ensemble casts)
-something commercial with delicious vacation drama
-characters with an entrepreneurial spirit (again and always)
-clever arc structures and use of form

#MSWL I also want a locked room mystery! I love these anyway and since life is a locked room at the moment, I'd like the opportunity to think about murder. I want it rich and dark and deep, definitely not a cozy, but maybe a cozy dressed up for a really special occasion.

Another #MSWL: something generally uplifting, that makes me believe that humans can sometimes be good. Unlikely friendships, unexpected kindnesses, tragedy that turns into hope. Obviously, I and others want this right now (also, I'll take your reading recs if you have them!)

#MSWL I have wanted this for a long time, but still haven't found it: I want a literary love story with a happy ending. I know, I know, "literary" and "happy ending" don't seem like they go together, but hey, that's the challenge here!

This Monday morning, I’m wishing for YA with a vivid world/setting that bends the rules in its genre—whether that be genre blending or an unexpected twist to a tired trope, I want to be surprised and taken away to another world. #mswl #ya
