This City of Lies is another of the many "CIty" books that have been attracting attention lately, and I am rebelling against this by seeking books that have "Unincorporated Township" in the title. Like "Unincorporated Township of Applesauce" - great title for my new #mswl book

Joshua Bilmes @jabbermaster · 15 Nov 2018

My #mswl now includes a fantasy set in a riding school, from the POV of one of the teachers, with at least one of the horses named Applesauce.

And I am so not kidding. @awfulagent hosted editors from a major sf imprint for lunch today. This is the synthesis.

This (terrifying!) story would be incredible inspiration for a novel. #mswl thecut.com/2018/11/the-ha…

Also #1 on my #mswl is a YA #Chuck. Nerdy, weird science, kicking bad guy butt. Bonus points if it’s a female, feminist version!

Tia Rose Mele @TiatheTiger · 15 Nov 2018

I’m in the mood for something super nerdy. Send me your nerd girls, please #MSWL

Lauren’s the Worst (preorder now💁🏻‍♀️) @laurenspieller · 15 Nov 2018

I want a book about a character like Ambrose Spellman--kind, gifted, tortured, and definitely queer af. #mswl

Really craving an epically layered feminist* second world adult fantasy centered on art, politics, and earthy witchy magic.** #MSWL

Vanessa Lanang is procrastinating. @VanessaLanang

@Donovanesque Do you have a preference between 1st person and close 3rd? I can write both but I feel I get so much more into the voice in 1st person.

Replying to @VanessaLanang

Hi Vanessa! I have a slight preference for close 3rd because I find I usually fall in love with the hero when I'm in his POV. But if a 1st person manuscript can still give me moments where I understand his thoughts & feelings and scenes that make me melt, that's great. 🙂 #MSWL

#historicalromance is always on my #MSWL in YA and adult, especially this time of year. Wouldn't mind some holiday stories.
