I like books that combine genres. Like I would love a horror western or a mystery with magical realism. #MSWL

I also love historical fiction, though I'm mostly interested in the 1700s-1960s. Anything set in the ancient world typically isn't my thing. #MSWL

What I'm most interested in is fresh mysteries with strong characters. It could be a cozy, a psychological suspense, a police procedural, etc. My mystery tastes are pretty broad. #MSWL

What my inbox is hungry for: Some adult Crime Fiction, Dark Comedy, and Thrillers. Maybe some unique YA fantasy. Also children’s Mystery and Fantasy. A killer True Crime book would make my life. Are you writing one? #MSWL @VictressLit

I am a huge, huge fan of historical fantasy, especially from unexpected places and times (like @kateheartfield's Armed in Her Fashion). I don't represent historical fiction with no fantastic elements. #MSWL

I just finished WESTSIDE last night, and it has a lot of qualities I'm looking for: historical, noir, speculative element, gorgeous writing, great voice. #MSWL

I say this every #mswl, but I never get enough hard sf. I especially like hard sf based on the unexpected sciences, like @SueBurkeSpain's Semiosis series, based on her study of botany.
