As always, I'm interested in finding projects from writers and illustrators who are part of traditionally marginalized groups. I especially love to see books that incorporate unique elements from their heritage. For every age group I represent, board book to YA. A forever #MSWL .

I would love to find more cozy fantasy for YA/MG, and just cozy books in general. When the world is a dumpster fire, sometimes we just need a little escape where there are still stakes and things to do, but in a way that doesn't cause massive anxiety. #MSWL

I'm definitely looking for more submissions from people who write and illustrate graphic novels. #MSWL I've found I don't connect as strongly with just graphic novel texts, which is why I usually prefer to see sample pages of graphic novels from author-illustrators, for any children's age group.

Nonfic: I really want to work with someone writing about cultural spiritual practices. Like from a grounded, researched approach that is not aiming to make it necessarily more accessible but aiming to capture the roots and history of the practice. #mswl

Also anything that gives me the feeling of Bartimaeus by Jonathan Stroud. A genuinely funny, sarcastic MC, a fleshed-out world (either based in ours or not), and lovable character dynamics. #MSWL

#MSWL I really want something like The Last Hour Between Worlds or Voyage of the Damned. A mystery set in a fantasy world, where powers make it more complicated to figure out the 'whodunnit.' Bonus points for a time loop

Not open right now, but I hope to be by the end of spring. What I really want to see is #ADULT #crossgenre stories. #Scifi romance, horror romance, humorous #litRPG w/a horror element. Weird, quirky, spicy is okay, just no abuse, rape, or animal death.

#Horror #MSWL Give me horror comedy! Think Sam Raimi, Eli Craig, and Edgar Wright vibes. But I would especially love to see more diverse voices in this space! I love reluctant heroes/ everyday schlubs who are forced to reckon with dark dealings. And a dash of social commentary along the way.

I'm interested in investigative nonfiction; Cobalt Red is an example from a geopolitical and human rights lens. And anything with an element of gonzo journalism. #mswl

#MSWL I'd love to see wuxia or xianxia stories from Asian writers or the diaspora, either in YA/MG. I find stories from Asian history and folklore fascinating and want to see more from authors from those cultures. But I'm not interested if it's from a cultural appropriation self-insert perspective.
