"Send me your fantasy novels with shorter word counts and immersive worldbuilding. Ex: GODKILLER by Hannah Kaner, and EMILY WILDE'S ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF FAERIES by Heather Fawcett.”

"Seeking multi-generational stories of parenthood and family featuring marginalized communities in the commercial or historical adult fiction genre (i.e. heavy with plot!) like THE IRISH GOODBYE and BLACK CAKE."
Carly Watters #MSWL

"I want genre fiction with playful form, such as the epistolary style of Janice Hallett’s work."
madisonpotter.bsky.social #MSWL

Really tough sells for me: stories that take place in a school, stories centering around a competition, stories where all the people in a society are divided into labeled categories, and stories with pirates or assassins. #mswl

"I’m interested in love stories that may not fit the definition of romance, such as found family, platonic soulmates, and relationships without a happily ever after."
Rose Ferrao #MSWL

"I’d love the next THE POET EMPRESS."
madisonpotter.bsky.social #MSWL

One thing I've learned about my tastes: for books with animal protagonists, I far prefer realistic stories to fantastical ones. #mswl

Who's sending me this in book form? 👀 #mswl

“Send me your horror novels with psychological scares and creepy locations.”
mariavicente.com #MSWL

A note about #MSWL : When an agent or editor posts a manuscript wishlist request, we’re not saying we only want stories exactly like that and nothing else. It’s a hint about the kinds of books we like and tone/vibes for mss we could be interested in.

"I want unlikely friendship novels with heavy plot and a feel-good ending."
Carly Watters #MSWL

"I gravitate toward commercial genre fiction and am seeking to expand my list in that space."
alexandragrana.bsky.social #MSWL

“I love contemporary fiction that has a speculative twist. The weirder, the better.”
mariavicente.com #MSWL

Someone write me this thriller, please. #MSWL

"I am intensely fascinated by every aspect of lo-fi tales that feel innately human. If your novel leans into messy characters and embraces their irrational decisions, send it to me!"
Gemma Paynter #MSWL

"I'm seeking supernatural and psychological thrillers."
alexandragrana.bsky.social #MSWL

I’m opening to queries from November 1- November 5 (for however many I receive)! This will be the last time I open this year, though I plan to open in early 2027.

My #mswl is evergreen - but feel free to ask if you have questions!
