I also want to see cozier romantasy, where magic is woven into smaller aspects. Think kitchen and garden witches that brew intention into their hobbies.
For speculative fiction and magical realism, I love stories that deal with time in an interesting way (OONA OUT OF ORDER) but I also love Isabel Allende’s stories.
For bookclub, I’m always looking for the dark side of suburbia. Think BIG LITTLE LIES or SUCH A FUN AGE.
I would also love to see books that explore generational trauma, through the eyes of an eldest daughter.
For historical mysteries, I’m always looking for a feminist female protagonist.
I love anything mid 20th century.
Anything gothic is a plus. If it has body snatching, poisons, or fun elements like séances, like in SPITTING GOLD, I’d love to see it.
For #graphicnovels & #comics , i’m looking for:
📷layers & depth of field
🪟thinking outside the panel
🌊watercolor feels
〰️ lovely line elements
🍱 studio ghibli vibes
🎨Monochromatic palettes
😎bad ass heroines …or villains
🧚♀️ whispy whimsical worlds
❤️ diverse characters
I‘m on hold and the music is like a bossa nova vibe I would dance to in an elevator…waiting for some jaw-dropping illustrator portfolios to hit my inbox 🎨
