Nonfiction

Anna Sproul-Latimer @annasproul · 8 Mar 2018

My parameters on this #mswl, in case you're scanning the hashtag: it definitely would need to be nonfiction, and I am looking for an ending that's amazing on Earth as opposed to in the afterlife

Do you know what I would really love to read/rep? A Shawshank-like nonfiction story in which things seem like they're going to turn out horribly and then--twist!--everything turns out not just okay, but jump up and down amazing. #MSWL

Further to my earlier #mswl posts, the Gravy podcast is one of my very, very favorites. If you're writing a narrative nonfiction book in this vein, I'd love to see it. #amwriting #amquerying

In narrative nonfiction, I'd love to see more food-centered books, especially those exploring forgotten aspects of our food history or that look at the intersections of race, feminism, and food. Think THE COOKING GENE or WHAT SHE ATE.

Who's up for some Friday afternoon #mswl tweets? Here are some specific things I'll be looking for at BookEnds!

As a general reminder, I rep adult romance, mystery, women's, and upmarket fiction, and have a deep and abiding love for historical fiction across all genres. I also rep narrative nonfiction, especially on topics like the literary world, food, material culture, & social history.
